AJF has some big goals. After reviewing our activities of the past few years, we have made the decision to become an international organization. This means we will be broadening our focus beyond America, and connecting with the very best of contemporary jewelry from around the world. We are going to be increasing our web presence with a more active blog, keeping up to date with events, information, gossip and informed commentary about what’s going on in the field. And we will be working more strategically with our grant programs for emerging artists and institutions, as well as introducing a new grant for critical writing about contemporary jewelry, making sure these important activities of AJF reach a wide audience. At $5000 each, these grants are not large amounts of money, but they are immensely encouraging to all who apply for them, and they do make a difference to the contemporary jewelry scene. One of our goals for 2010 is to grow the number of our members to above 150. The increase will financially support our existing programs and our aspirations for AJF, as well as making sure our activities have an impact in the contemporary jewelry world.

The Supporter membership is our general membership designed for a person who wants to contribute to the AJF mission as an advocate for contemporary art jewelry. As a Supporter you are invited to travel with us to visit private collections, go behind-the-scenes at art museums, and visit top universities with metals programs. Supporter members learn about contemporary art jewelry through our monthly e-mail newsletters, the AJF website, and AJF-sponsored lectures.
As a Sponsor you enable AJF to do more! As a Sponsor member you receive all the benefits of the Supporter membership -- an invitation to travel with to visit private collections, go behind-the-scenes at art museums and university metals program and learn about contemporary art jewelry through our monthly e-mail newsletters, the AJF website, and AJF-sponsored lectures.
Additionally,your generosity provides funds we need to expand our Emerging Artist Award, Education and Grant programs.
We invite you to join at the Benefactor membership level, by far the most significant demonstration of support for the goals of AJF you can make.

The AJF Gallery Membership is designed to serve the needs of our commercial members. If you are a dealer or gallery owner this is the membership for you. As a Gallery member you receive all the all the benefits of the Sponsor membership, plus you can contact AJF members with information about your gallery, receive a 10% discount on advertising in Metalsmith magazine, can partner with AJF to sponsor special events during AJF trips, at SOFA, COLLECT and at SNAG conferences, your website will be included as a link from the AJF website and blog, and you will have special reviews of your programs and exhibitions on our blog. At the Gallery membership level you are entitled to memberships for two individuals. New Gallery members will be contacted shortly after your membership donation is received to arrange the many associated benefits.
The Arts Professional Membership is special membership category for those with a professional interest in art jewelry. If you are a maker, curator, art educator, or writer this is the category for you. As a member of AJF you will enjoy all the existing membership benefits of our organization, as well as be able to take part in all the exciting new developments. As arts professional member, you receive a special reduced fee of $100 for an annual membership, and it is all tax-deductible. You merit this reduced fee because we value your participation in our organization, and we know what an important role you play in supporting and maintaining contemporary jewelry.
The Affiliate group is a special category of membership for organizations with a professional interest in art jewelry. If you are an organization, a foundation, a guild, cooperative, or an online group this is your category. If you would like to join us you can apply for recognition by contacting us at info@artjewelryforum.org. As a group affiliate you can partner with AJF to exchange services that are mutually beneficial, your website will be included as a link and we will try to cover some of your exhibitions and publications on the AJF website and blog.
