NPR
NPR's Susan Stamberg chats with Madeleine Albright about her new book Read My Pins, an intimate look at Albright's life through the brooches she wore. Her collection is both international and democratic—dime-store pins share pride of place with designer creations and family heirlooms. She shares a wonderful story about the antique eagle brooch she purchased to celebrate her appointment as secretary of state and insights into how she used jewelry to effect global politics. Listen to the interview and read more about this wonderful memoir, click here.

Jewelry from the Albright collection currently is being exhibited at the Museum of Arts and Design, in New York, September 30 - January 31, 2010. For details visit http://www.madmuseum.org.

VOGUE
Art jewelry hit the high fashion world when pieces by New York-based jeweler Donna D'Aquino were recently featured in Italian Vogue magazine.  The striking full-page image was part of a 30 page feature by well known fashion photographer Steven Meisel. The model, Kristen McMenamy, is shown wearing only Donna's spectacular wire steel bracelets and a very tidy brazilian.  Collectors sometimes worry what to wear with good piece of jewelry.  This is an option.
