You’re invited to join us.
AJF is a place for you to educate your eye and inform your mind. By joining us, you help support our mission as advocates to promote and sustain the field of contemporary art jewelry. AJF is a vibrant community of arts professionals (writers, curators, educators and makers) collectors and gallerists who share a passion for contemporary art jewelry. You are in a unique position to support and help fund all we do. By joining at the highest affordable level, you are saying that you think the people who work professionally in this field deserve your big vote of confidence. You have the satisfaction of being supportive and you get to belong to a community of like-minded individuals.
AJF has been experiencing rapid growth and is becoming an even greater force in the contemporary art jewelry field. We have become an international organization, broadening our focus beyond the United States and connecting with the very best of contemporary jewelry from around the world. We continue to enhance the content on the AJF website and blog, publishing articles, book reviews, exhibition reviews and interviews by leading individuals in the field. Our website features a dedicated schools section, showcasing the work of contemporary art jewelry students in schools around the world that belong to AJF. A monthly newsletter keeps you up-to-date with the latest developments in contemporary jewelry. We are also busy developing a book about contemporary jewelry, which will be published by Lark in 2013. And, in keeping with our mission, we continue to provide financial support in the form of grants for emerging artists and exhibitions, as well as funding critical writing about contemporary jewelry. Plus, everyone who joins AJF in 2013 will receive a limited edition pin by American jewelry designer Lola Brooks as an exclusive benefit.

Arts Professional
The Arts Professional level is special category for those with a professional interest in art jewelry. If you are a maker, curator, art educator or writer, this is the category for you. You enjoy all of the Supporter level benefits of the organization, including free admission and VIP passes to major events such as SOFA and COLLECT and a gift of a pin designed exclusively for AJF by a noted contemporary jewelry maker, but as an Arts Professional you pay a special reduced annual fee of $100 and it is all tax-deductible. You merit this reduced fee because we value your participation in our organization and we know what an important role you play in supporting and maintaining contemporary jewelry.
Supporter
The Supporter level is designed for a person who wants to contribute to the AJF mission as an advocate for contemporary art jewelry. As a Supporter, you are invited to travel with us to visit private collections, go behind-the-scenes at art museums and visit top universities with metals programs. We provide free admission and VIP passes to major events such as SOFA and COLLECT. Supporters learn about contemporary art jewelry through our monthly e-mail newsletter, the AJF website and AJF-sponsored lectures. All Supporters receive a gift of a pin designed exclusively for AJF by a noted contemporary jewelry maker.
School
The School level is for any accredited university, college or academy worldwide with a degree or certification program in jewelry/metalsmithing. Joining at this level allows your school to be prominently featured on the AJF website. It enables you to post information about your school and faculty as well as showcase galleries of work by your recent graduates. You enjoy all of the benefits of the Supporter level, plus you receive a ten percent discount on advertising in Metalsmith magazine. The School level entitles two individuals to join for the $200 fee.
Gallery
If you are a dealer or gallery owner, this is the level for you. You enjoy all of the benefits of the Supporter level, plus you can contact AJF donors with information about your gallery, receive a ten percent discount on advertising in Metalsmith magazine and partner with AJF to sponsor special events during AJF trips, art fairs, shows and conferences. Your website will be linked to the homepage of the AJF blog and you will have an opportunity to promote up to two of your exhibitions per year on the AJF website. The Gallery level entitles two individuals to join for the $250 fee.
Sponsor
As a Sponsor you enable AJF to do more! You enjoy all the benefits of a Supporter – an invitation to travel with us to visit private collections, go behind-the-scenes at art museums and university metals programs and learn about contemporary art jewelry through our monthly e-mail newsletters, the AJF website and AJF-sponsored lectures. In addition to the gift of a pin designed exclusively for AJF, you also receive free copies of catalogs for AJF exhibitions and a free subscription to Metalsmith magazine.
Additionally, your generosity provides funds we need to support our Emerging Artist Award and other grant programs.
Benefactor
We invite you to join at the Benefactor level, by far the most significant demonstration of support you can make for the goals of AJF.
At the Benefactor level, you enjoy all of the benefits of a Sponsor, but your contribution does more than just support our ongoing programs. It enables AJF to pursue additional activities that further the field of contemporary art jewelry. It allows us to broaden the discourse about contemporary jewelry and expand our role in promoting education and appreciation. Plus, your spouse or partner can join at no additional cost.
